The Brompton World Championship is back!

We are excited to announce that Prudential RideLondon cycling festival will again be hosting the Brompton World Championship Final in central London on Saturday 28 July.

The iconic race course covers 8 laps around St James’ Park, past Buckingham Palace and down The Mall. Competitors start the race with a Le Mans-style dash, unfolding their bikes before taking on the 16km circuit. The fastest person to complete the race then ends the race.

The dress code is city-chic with lycra sportswear most definitely not permitted.

The ballot for entry is now closed, good luck to all those who applied.

The 2017 race had riders from 26 countries travelling to London to participate in this unique race. It brought 550 together including 17 winners of our satellite heats which take place all over the world, retired British Cyclists David Millar and Radio and TV Presenter, OJ Borg.

Our Spanish champion, Unai Alvarez Mosquera, snapped up first place by only moments between the top five riders. Elspeth Huyett, the US BWC winner, stormed to victory for the women.

We look forward to seeing you on The Mall in July.
